KHOU Morning Anchor Russ Lewis has been moved from the morning newscast to the 4PM newscast at the Tegna station.

He posted about his move to social media:

Is Lewis’ move off the morning show a “demotion” or a “promotion” depends on who you ask? Some say it was clearly a demotion, but others say anytime you don’t have to wake up in the middle of the night. it’s a promotion.

No word on how News Director Sally Ramirez spun the move to Lewis, but since Ramirez happens to be his wife, it might have helped either way.
