I Don't Fit Well with the Sinclair News Model

A couple of days ago, FTVLive told you that longtime WKRC (Cincy) Anchor Rob Braun said that he is leaving the station at the end of the month.

But don’t call this a retirement.

Braun took to social media to say he is not retiring, he just doesn’t think he and Sinclair are a good fit.

“I don't feel I fit well with the Sinclair News model,” he wrote in his message.

Braun was one of the Sinclair Anchors that was forced to read the Trump propaganda script back in 2018. After doing so, Braun said that he was getting death threats. Back in April of 2018, Braun told his coworkers that he's had his life threatened in person, and his family's life, since WKRC and WSTR started broadcasting the corporate-mandated statement read by Braun and co-anchor Cammy Dierking.

It seems now he has had enough of the Sinclair must runs and the corporate meddling in the local newscasts.

In his post, Braun promised he would have more to say on his final broadcast on the 28th of this month. Don’t be surprised if Sinclair doesn’t make him prerecord his goodbye to stop him from calling out the company live on the air.
