9 months ago, Sinclair’s WCTI (New Bern, North Carolina) had to abandon their station as flood waters were coming into the station from Hurricane Florence.

Sadly, 9 months later and the staff is still working out of trailers in a temporary newsroom.

Many wonder why it is taking so long to get the station back online and get the staff out of the trailers?

Some believe that Sinclair is dragging their feet when it comes to getting the work done.

Sources say that it is also making it hard for the station to hire people. “Who wants to come work in a trailer?” one insider said.

Also, some are questioning why Sinclair wants to rebuild the station in a the same spot. “They know it is in a flood plain,” one source said.

On June 1st we entered a new Hurricane season, but for the staff at WCTI, they are still feeling the effects of the last one.
