Meredith’s KPHO/KTVK (Phoenix) has taken the wraps off the station’s “Storm Commander.”

We’re not quite sure what storms in commands but you can’t say the truck doesn’t stand out.

I would have loved to been in the meeting when they were deciding on the wrap for the news truck.

Creative Service person #1: “Let’s wrap it with an arial picture of the desert.”

News Director: “I like just making it a bright lime green.”

Creative Service person #2: “I think we should go with red and yellow, it will stand out.”

Weather Anchor: ”I want lighting bolts.”

Executive Producer: “I think it should be orange, pink and blue”

General Manager: “Let’s do all of the above.”

Not sure that is how it went down, but looking at the picture above, we can’t be far off.

Look for the Storm Commander on the Arizona highways and it is expected to bump the ratings up at least 6 points.
