Word is that WTXL General Manager Matt Brown met News Director David Lee as he came into work yesterday and told him his services were no longer needed.

“This was a long time coming and current and former employees are not surprised by the decision,” said one station insider.

Lee had been the ND at the station since 2013.

An EP is acting as the interim while a search for a replacement has started.
