On October 25, 2017, CBS announced that Jeff Glor would be the new Anchor of the CBS Evening News.

This Friday, Glor will sign off from the show for the last time.

Glor wasn’t even given two years on the job before CBS decided to pull the rug out from under him. This Fall, the CBS Evening News will be handed over to Norah O’Donnell, who will anchor the show from Washington, DC.

The network was hoping that Glor would stick around till the hand off, but he has decided to wrap up his run this week.

CBS has not said who will be filling in as a placeholder and they say they are still talking with Glor about a different role at CBS.

If I was Jeff Glor, I would tell CBS to stick it, take my ball and go home.

But hey, that’s just me….
