WNYT (Albany) Anchor Andy Gregorio is leaving the station and the TV news business altogether.

The Times Union reports that Gregorio has been on-air in the Capital Region since the early 1990s, is leaving meteorology to work in IT. Gregorio went back to school last year and earned his Associate of Applied Science in information technology.

The long-time meteorologist first worked at WTEN, until he took a break from TV (not his choosing, as he points out) from 2014 to 2015, only to land over at WNYT, where he has been for the last four or so years.
