Dog Gone Good News
Here’s some good news for the animal lovers out there.
And it comes curtesy of two Tegna stations.
Tegna’s KFMB (San Diego) has adopted a newsroom dog named “Scoop.” Well actually, the news staff is fostering Scoop until he can find a forever home. Let’s hope someone in the KFMB newsroom steps up and adopts Scoop.
Over at Tegna’s WUSA (DC), word is that the station is building out part of the newsroom to make a doggy play area. It will allow staffers to bring their dogs to work.
Word is that Station Manager Mike Valentine has a brand new puppy and had the dog in the office yesterday.
The idea of letting staffers bring their dogs to work is awesome and it has to help with the stress level in the newsroom. What a great move by WUSA in actually building and area for dogs.
Back in my Pittsburgh days at WPXI, I used to bring my dog Polar to work all the time and hide her in my office.
Now, Rory gets to come to work with me each and everyday, since I own the company and the office is in my home.
Hats off to Tegna for showing the animals some love.
See Tegna, when you do something good, I’m more than happy to write about it.
Just saying…
