I’m sorry, but this is flat out racist and wrong.

KRGV (Rio Grande Valley, TX) Reporter John Paul Barajas was doing a story about an elderly man that lives along the Texas/Mexico border that is trying to sell his land.

Barajas said that the man has been trying to sell the property for years and it seems that he can’t because brown people are fishing across the border.

It’s as if that because these people are Mexican and standing near the border, they must be illegal immigrants.

If you ask us, it’s a few people enjoying some fishing along the river. The people are not on the old guy’s property and in fact they aren’t even in the United States.

Look, this guy might have a problem with people crossing the border and ending up on his property, but that does not make everyone guilty of doing so.

Those people that were singled out by KRGV in this story were fishing.

Talk about painting everyone with a broad brush.

Barajas and KRGV owe these people an apology.
