Yesterday, FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that KHSB News Director Carrie Hoffman is leaving the station.

We showed you her memo to the staff and here is the memo from the GM, that was obtained by FTVLive:

KSHB/KMCI Team,

Carrie has decided to step down from her position as News Director. Her last day will be June 2nd.

I had hoped to convince her otherwise, but ultimately, I also want what is best for her. She believes this is the right decision at the right time.

She can leave here knowing that she has made significant contributions to our newsroom. I want to thank her for her hard work, perseverance and dedication over the past 6+ years.

For the rest of us, our vision, mission and plan remain the same. And this requires all of us to continue in our pursuit of daily excellence.

The search begins this week for our next great newsroom leader who will share in this vision.
