KYTX the CBS affiliate in Tyler, TX was catching heat for cutting away from the NCAA Final Four for severe weather coverage.

The station interrupted the game to bring wall to wall weather coverage. Of course, this happens and you have to go to weather if the storms are that bad.

But, why not have a plan in place? Could you have not used a double box, or switched the game over a to a secondary channel.

It’s Spring in East Texas, someone should have figured out that this could happen.
