CNN Getting Crush in the Ratings After Mueller Report Release

It used to be that as big news broke, CNN was the cable news station people turned. That is clearly not the case anymore.

With Robert Muller completing his report, Fox News has dominated the ratings and CNN finds itself in the familiar last place.

As for CNN getting clocked in the ratings, CNN media critic Brian Stelter says that since the release of the Mueller Report, “there hasn't been much news. So I'm not surprised by the ebb and flow, but I'm keeping an eye on it...”

I’m sure the country will sleep well, knowing that Brian Stelter is keeping his eye on CNN’s floundering ratings.

A look at Tuesday’s numbers show just how far back they are according to Nielsen ratings:

Primetime

FNC: 3,341,000 in P2+ (585,000 in 25-54)
MSNBC: 1,824,000 in P2+ (271,000 in 25-54)
CNN: 798,000 in P2+ (220,000 in 25-54)

CNN was more than a million people behind second place MSNBC and miles behind Fox News in Primetime.

A breakdown of the primetime lineup shows that CNN is the dog across the board and at 9PM, they might as well just put on color bars and save the energy:

8PM/ET

FNC’s Tucker Carlson Tonight: 3,554,000 in P2+ (656,000 in 25-54)
MSNBC’s All in with Chris Hayes: 1,385,000 in P2+ (215,000 in 25-54)
CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360: 764,000 in P2+ (192,000 in 25-54)

9PM/ET

FNC’s Hannity: 3,571,000 in P2+ (589,000 in 25-54)
MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow: 2,301,000 in P2+ (355,000 in 25-54)
CNN’s Cuomo Primetime: 841,000 in P2+ (220,000 in 25-54)
