A Milwaukee Police Officer was shot and killed in the line of duty.

Hearst owned WISN posted a story saying that the killed officer was named in a civil rights lawsuit after police used excessive force in arresting a suspected carjacker.

Officer Matthew Ritter was on the scene and was named in the lawsuit, but video evidence shows that he did not participate in the excessive force.

Needless to say, any Reporter for WISN is going to have a hard time covering the cop beat for quite awhile. It will take quite a bit time to rebuild any relationship/trust with the department.
