KABC says that their news chopper Air7HD was involved in a mid-air collision with a drone.

The news chopper was able to land safely following the mid-air collision and the chopper had a small amount of damage to the tail.

The FAA is now investigating the incident.

As more people put drones up in the air over the scene of news events, incidents like this one could become more common.

Drones have become a great tool for TV stations and Photographers looking for pictures from the air, but caution needs to be used.
