Don Imus who made a name for himself on talk radio as a shock jock and later worked for both MSNBC and Fox Business has died.

Imus' family said that he was hospitalized in Texas on Christmas Eve and died last night at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in College Station, Texas,

While Imus spent 50 years in both radio and TV, he is best know for making a racist comment about the Rutgers women’s basketball team and was fired by CBS Radio and MSNBC.

He ended up back on the radio and Fox Business before shutting it down on March 29, 2018.

He was 79 years old.
