Scripps announced yesterday that they were naming Bill Siegel to the General Manager gig at WSFL (Miami-Ft. Lauderdale).

Scripps announced that the station would be starting up news in 2020 and it appears they have a news guy to help oversee that process.

It is going to be very hard to build a news operation from the ground up that the viewers in South Florida will tune into.

Siegel has his work cut out for him and we wish him the best of luck.
