Back in September, FTVLive told you that longtime WBNS Chief Meteorologist Mike Davis was arrested on child pornography charges and if you think he might have just downloaded a picture or two, think again.

According to court records, Davis downloaded thousands of images of child pornography over the past seven years.

Authorities say that Davis was caught with 15,912 pictures of young girls exposing themselves or engaging in sexual acts with adults.

Davis was charged on Sept. 5 with pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, a second-degree felony that carries a sentence of up to eight years in prison. He has since been fired and is fighting the charges in court.

His arrest came just weeks after the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a tip about child porn content being downloaded by someone using his email address. Authorities said their investigation later determined Davis was behind the downloads, leading detectives to search his home and a personal laptop from the WBNS building.
