KCRA has ruled the ratings in Sac Town for years and it is a good station to work and a good place to live. Sacramento does not have the traffic problems like Southern California and does not have the housing prices of San Francisco.

You can take a day trip to Lake Tahoe on Saturday and a trip to San Francisco on Sunday. It is in a great location with mild weather.

As for KCRA, they have been THE station in Sacramento for years. It was owned at one time by Kelly Broadcasting and worked with an almost unlimited budget. Those days are gone, the station is now owned by Hearst. But Hearst still gives the station what they need to cover the news.

With Cox being bought out, Hearst is moved up the list of one of the top companies to work for.

If you land a job at a Hearst station, it will likely be one that you will enjoy.

And, KCRA is one of the crown jewels in the Hearst crown.
