Secret Santa for AM News People
People that work on the morning newscast are a special breed.
You get up in the middle of the night and head to work. You sit in an almost empty newsroom, pounding out stories for the newscasts that you boss rarely ever watches.
The rest of the staff comes in around 8:45 AM and complain how tired they are as they race for the coffee pot. They have no clue what tired is?
But, being an AM newser is like being in a secret society. Many AM news people follow each other on social media and share tweets and DM’s back and forth.
Now, they also get the chance to share some holiday gifts.
Kansas City News Photographer Troy Diggs has launched a website for AM news people to sign up for secret Santa.
You will buy a gift and send it to an AM news person and some other AM news person will do the same for you. Of course, there will be someone that signs up, gets a gift and doesn’t send one.
Hopefully Troy will let us know who that person is and we can call them out on FTVLive.
And!
Since FTVLive is up each and every day at 1 AM, we also consider ourselves part of the AM news society and that is why we also signed up for secret Santa.
If you are in the society, feel free to sign up here.
Maybe, I will draw your name and you will be stuck with a lame FTVLive T-shirt (Oh wait! That’s supposed to be a secret).
Also, thanks to Troy for trying to send some holiday cheer.
