NBC Boss: I Don’t Know Much About It
NBC News boss Andy Lack was in Atlanta for the debate last night and the Washington Post’s Eric Wemple stopped Lack as he walked by to ask him about the book Catch and Kill by former NBC staffer Ronan Farrow that made a number of damning claims against the network.
There have been countless calls for NBC to enlist an outside investigation firm to look at how NBC handled (spiked) the Harvey Weinstein story and the actions and handing of former Today Show host Matt Lauer.
When asked, Lack replied, “I don’t have anything to say about it. . . . I don’t know much about it,” said Lack. “Good to see you.” When we asked a bit more about the situation, he said, “I don’t really have anything to say about it. I’m here, got a great debate going, so I’ll let you go.” At that, NBC News communications director Richard Hudock interposed himself to end the conversation.
So, the head of NBC News doesn’t know “much about it” the stuff that is tearing the network apart and has people that work there, mad and uneasy?
No wonder why the place is a mess.
