JEA is a utility company that serves customers in Jacksonville, Florida.
There is a big story going on in Jacksonville as customers opened their November bills found a warning that they face a future rate increase “as high” as 52 percent combined with worse service caused by “deep cuts” to JEA’s workforce and reduced spending on the utility’s system.
What is odd is that Tegna’s First Coast News used a Reporter from the local paper, Florida Times-Union Reporter David Bauerlein reported the story on WTLV.
The paper is the station’s partner, but you would think with a story as big as this, the Tegna station might have used one of their own Reporters to tell the story.
