MSNBC was conducting an interview with Rep Eric Swalwell when someone cut the cheese.

It was not long before the hashtag #Fartgate started trending on Twitter and stayed there most of the night.

Many are blaming Swalwell for the release of gas, but others say you can tell that this bomb was down into upholstery.

Most think it was MSNBC host, Chris Matthews, that let it rip and that would be my guess as well. CNN’s SE Cupp also thinks it was Matthews.

Fartgate got so much attention that Hardball sent out a tweet and tried to cover up the crime with a lame excuse.

That was not a mug and Hardball should know that the coverup is always worse than the crime.
