CNN Last in Impeachment Ratings
There was a place in time when CNN would have been the go-to network for something as big as the impeachment hearings against the President.
But this is no longer the CNN that leads the way when big news breaks.
This is the CNN that Jeff Zucker sunk to the bottom of the ratings and is driven by opinion and not journalism.
The opening of the impeachment hearings found CNN once again in last place in the ratings.
Fox News and MSNBC pulled in huge numbers for daytime viewing, both were just shy of 3 million viewers.
As for CNN, they were not able to crack 2 million viewers.
CNN media critic Brian Stelter tried to spin CNN’s last-place finish on Twitter:
Stelter claims that Fox News is the choice of the Republicans and MSNBC is the choice of Democrats.
CNN, which many would say is further left than MSNBC, appears to be the choice of nobody.
It is sad that in this country we don’t have a big cable news channel that we can turn to for down the middle reporting and leave the opinion to the viewers that are watching.
CNN is no longer the turn to network when the big story hits and yet, somehow Jeff Zucker still has a job.
