Yesterday, FTVLive told you that former KNBC medical correspondent Dr. Bruce Hensel was arrested Wednesday morning on suspicion of asking a 9-year-old girl to send him sexually suggestive pictures, authorities said.

When reporting the story on their website, KNBC started the story with this line, “Dr. Bruce Hensel, an Emmy-winning former medical correspondent for NBC4, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of contacting a 9-year-old girl for sexual purposes, authorities said.”

What does winning an Emmy have to do with this story?

Thousands upon thousands of local news Emmy’s are given out every year, it’s not like this guy is in rare air.

Also, I’m not sure how the Emmy’s feel about their award being linked to pedophiles?
