Charges Dropped Against Former Philly Anchor
Back in September, FTVLive told you that WCAU Anchor/Reporter Dray Clark was arrested twice in a week.
Clark was charged with 16 crimes including simple assault, making terroristic threats, harassment, and theft.
A woman described as Clark’s girlfriend (Aigner Cleveland) told police that an argument outside Clark's Chester, Pennsylvania, home late Thursday escalated and Clark struck her several times, put his hands around her throat and choked her, according to a police criminal complaint.
She also posted about the incident on her social media and included pictures.
WCAU cut ties with Clark after his arrests.
But now the charges against him have been dismissed.
The Philly Inquirer reports that Chester District Court Judge Spencer B. Seaton Jr. dismissed 16 charges against Clark at a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.
Court documents did not say why the charges were dismissed. The Delaware County District Attorney’s Office did not immediately respond to request for comment, and neither did Clark’s attorney.
A station spokesperson confirmed to The Inquirer that Clark is no longer with the station but did not say when his contract was terminated.
