The Hypocrisy at Fox News
Last night, FOX News Channel host Martha MacCallum sat down with author and domestic violence activist Sil Lai Abrams to discuss her account of how NBC allegedly suppressed a story surrounding her claims of sexual assault against record executive Russell Simmons and Extra’s A.J. Calloway.
She claims NBC spiked the story, which seems to be a pattern at the Peacock.
Now, it is awesome that more women are coming forward to break their silence and speak up and we can only hope that more women that have suffered will speak up and tell their stories.
But, if you want to look at the hypocrisy of TV news, you need to look no further than this interview.
I don’t remember having women coming on their shows to talk about Bill O’Reilly?
It’s not that I don’t think that FNC should not cover NBC and shine a big bright light on them.
It’s just the coverage seems slanted when the network (whichever network) won’t shine that same light on themselves.
Also, on the other hand, NBC was all over the Roger Ailes, Bill O’Reilly story, but has gone silent when it comes to these latest stories at 30 Rock.
If you want to be a trusted news organization, you need to complete transparency and report on yourself.
