Debate Moderators Named
The fifth Democratic presidential debate wlll be hosted by MSNBC and The Washington Post and will take place on November 20th.
A number of people are saying that the Dems should pull the debate from NBC after reports surfaced that NBC had tried to cover up sexual misconduct at the network and the spiking of the Harvey Weinstein story.
NBC countered those claims, but naming an all female debate moderating team.
But, not all will be Journalists.
This is who NBC has picked:
Rachel Maddow, host of The Rachel Maddow Show MSNBC
Andrea Mitchell, host of Andrea Mitchell Reports on MSNBC and NBC News Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent
Kristen Welker, NBC News White House Correspondent
Ashley Parker, Washington Post White House Reporter
The first person that NBC put on the list is the hard left leaning Maddow. She is not a Journalist and this would be akin to Fox News having Sean Hannity moderate a Republican debate.
Mitchell also leans left.
Welker and Parker are real journalists, so NBC at least got it half right.
The debate will be staged in Georgia and is likely to pull in around 7.5 million viewers. Unless a new candidate enters the Democratic primary, the public is getting tired of the current crop.
