On Friday morning, FTVLive told you that WFTS (Tampa) News Director Matt Brown was getting a promotion to the GM chair at Scripps recently purchased WTXL (Tallahassee).

We told you that WFTS Assistant News Director Sarah Moore was the likely person to get Brown’s old job.

By Friday afternoon, Scripps announced that Moore was going to be the new News Director at the Tampa station.

“Sarah is a proven newsroom leader. During her time at ABC Action News, she has been key in helping create and execute content strategies,” said General Manager Nick Nicholson. “She is the natural choice to lead our news organization in this rapidly evolving news environment.”

While Scripps says they are highly involved in a digital first world, Moore’s last tweet was made in 2017 and she had a total of 4 retweets in 2018.

It seems that in Moore’s reign as News Director, it will be do as she says and not as she does.
