Moving on from Tulsa
KJRH Anchor Brian Sanders is leaving the station but not the Scripps family.
Sanders is headed to Scripps sister station KMGH in Denver.
”We didn’t take this nationwide search lightly. It was really important to us to find someone who appreciates Our Colorado and Denver7’s commitment to serve our community and help the people who live here. I’m thrilled that Brian and his wife want to put down roots and raise their two little boys in this state we all love,” said Holly Gauntt KMGH News Director.
"In this industry, it isn't often we get a chance to advance our careers, fully commit to a lifelong destination and stay with the same amazing company in one move. I'm so grateful to Scripps, and to the management at Denver7 and KJRH in Tulsa, for their vision and leadership in allowing me this opportunity," Sanders or the KMGH creative services department said in the release.

Subject: New morning Anchor!
I am very pleased to announce that Brian Sanders will be joining our team as morning anchor!
Brian has been part of the Scripps family for the past four years anchoring the 5pm, 6pm and 10pm newscasts at KJRH in Tulsa, OK.
He is not new to morning newscasts, prior to working in Tulsa Brian was the morning anchor at KXAN in Austin.
Brian started his career as a sports anchor and made the move to news while at KXAN.
Brian is originally from Houston but has long wanted to call Colorado home.
He will start with us on February 11th. Please join me in welcoming him to our team.
