Al Roker Defends Fired Weather Anchor
Fired WHEC Weather Anchor Jeremy Kappell still says that he never said the word “coon.”
Most that has seen the video would differ on his opinion.
But, NBC’s Al Roker is giving Kappell the benefit of the doubt and did so in a tweet:
It also appears that Jeremy or one of his friends is creating fake accounts to help in his fight of public opinion.
A look closer at “Dennis Parker” shows he has no followers and has only posted 2 tweets, which are in defense of Kappell.
Also, the fact that Dennis has to tell us he is a black man and his political leanings seem a bit odd, don’t you think? All the racial injustice in this world this is what gets this guy to “re-open” his Twitter account?
It appears that someone has extra time on their hands.
As for Kappell, he says he never said the word “coon” and is throwing down challenges on Twitter to try and defend his “mistake”
I did what he said over 20 times and not one time did I say “coon” like he did.
It is here that we should point out that is not what he said on air. Watch the video, he never said “Doctor” and he did add the syllable “coon”:
I really think that this guy’s actions after his firing have showed me enough that this is not a guy I want working at my station.
But, that being said, we bet that Kappell will land another job in TV and I don’t think there will be a bit of surprise when you see what media group is the one to hire him.
Stay tuned….
