The Lee County (Florida) Supervisor of Elections candidate did not like a story that WBBH did about him.

So, he decided to sue the station for defamation.

Dan Sinclair filed the lawsuit against WBBH back in 2016.

Sinclair claimed NBC2 News and reporter Dave Elias had shown prejudice against him while covering his bid for public office.

This week, a Lee County Judge ruled there was no malice, no defamation, no damages and no actual injury done to Sinclair.

In other words, it was a big waste of time.
