Bumped Up in Buffalo

Fresh off his softball interview with an indicted congressman, WIVB Reporter/Anchor Dave Greber is getting bumped up in Buffalo.

Nexstar owned WIVB has picked Greber top be the station’s new morning Anchor.

Greber starts his new role today, replacing Jordan Williams, who left the station in July to become an Assistant News Director at a station in his hometown of Beaumont, Texas.

Greber joined WIVB more than three years ago and most recently was the co-anchor of Channel 4’s newscast at 4 p.m. and the 6:30 p.m. newscast on sister station WNLO-TV.

In an email to the staff announcing the move, WIVB News Director Lisa Polster praised Greber’s work on the 4 and 6:30 p.m. newscasts alongside co-anchor Christy Kern.

“His storytelling skills, community connections and sunny personality will be an asset to our team,” she wrote. “We still expect Dave to break news and bring home the big interviews.”

Maybe on the next “big interview” he can ask some tougher questions.
