Former WHAS (Louisville) Anchor Renee Murphy is going to be paid $143,323 a year and have much better hours.
Murphy is taken a job as the new spokesperson for the Jefferson County Public Schools.
She will take the title of chief of communications and community relations, joined the district last month to work in parent outreach.
"Renee is a skilled communicator, trusted community advocate and JCPS parent who will be a tremendous addition to our leadership team as well as our strong communications team," Superintendent Marty Pollio wrote in a Wednesday news release.
In a news release, Murphy said she came to JCPS because she believes "in the mission of this district and the opportunities ahead for all students."
"It is an honor to help guide communications and keep our families and the community informed," she wrote.
She begins her new role Monday.
