KTLA (Los Angeles) has launched two new newscasts, but don't look for them on-air. 

The new newscasts airing at both Noon and 2PM are going to be produced online at KTLA.com. 

Wow! A station doing an online event on their own website and not on Facebook or some other site they don't own. What a what a novel idea. 

5 Live will also be available on the station's app and will be hosted by Samantha Cortese and Natalie Lizarraga. 

“5 Live is a strong addition to our on-air newscasts and other digital ventures,” said KTLA Vice President and News Director Jason Ball. “This station has a long history of innovation and this is just one more way for us to connect with our viewers.”

Good for KTLA to do something like this.
