There She is....
A meteorologist at The Weather Channel has won the Mrs. Georgia beauty pageant.
Liana Brackett can add the title of Mrs. Georgia America 2018 to her resume and will now compete in the Mrs. America pageant next week.
“My platform is STE(A)M, Science, Technology, Engineering, (Arts), and Math,” Brackett told World Class Beauty Queens Magazine. “I inspire and encourage STE(A)M inside and outside of classrooms through NEPRIS, a virtual presentation organization that connects classrooms nationwide to STE(A)M professionals. I also serve as a mentor to students and young professionals in STE(A)M careers.”
Brackett listed her “likes” as: Optimism, laughter, life in Jesus Christ, her husband David and her family, meteorology, traveling and designing.
Her “dislikes” are: Injustice, heights, busted weather forecasts and Brian Stelter.
Ok, maybe we added that last one.
It was the first pageant that Brackett, 32, has ever competed in.
“My husband and I went to a Tony Robbins’ conference last year and it was a game changer!,” she told the magazine. “I realized how often I let fear keep me from following my dreams. So, right after the conference, I researched pageant systems and I chose the Mrs. Georgia America system to compete in.”
She is an on-camera meteorologist at the Atlanta-based national TV network The Weather Channel. Brackett appears on the channel Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m.
