It looks like Lupe is leaving... 

KMID/KPEJ Anchor Lupe Zapata is leaving the Odessa stations after almost 3 years. 

"I love telling stories that matter to people in a way that invokes emotion," says Zapata. "I've had close to three wonderful years serving the people of West Texas as a local storyteller. When I moved to Odessa in 2015 I was excited to tell people's stories, that excitement hasn't left, and I feel honored to share important news delivered by real people to the people who tune in every day."

Zapata anchored the morning show and he is signing off on Friday.
