There has been no official announcement, but a number of Nexstar managers are telling FTVLive that the company is slowing down on hiring. 

On the Deltek search page,  We searched "Anywhere in the United States" and we searched "news"for Nexstar.

On career page of Nexstar's site it shows more jobs listed, but not on this job site page.

So, is there a hiring freeze? Or did the company change how you search for a job? 

It appears that that the job search portal has been changed and no one has directed visitors to the correct portal. An FTVLive viewer emailed us with the new link. 

If you go to this page, you see that still is a number of jobs posted for Nexstar stations. 

We are not sure why the old job portal no longer seems to be working?

Nexstar was one of the few groups that did not have a recruiting booth set up at HAHJ in Miami. Many wondered why the company did not have a presence at the convention? 

Sources tell FTVLive that Sinclair may also be looking to pull back on their hiring as well. 

In the month of July, Sinclair has seen it's stock price drop from a high of almost $34 to just over $25. 

In other words, it's not a good time to go in an ask for a raise.
