Back in March, FTVLive FIRST told you that KCBS had suspended Anchor Rick Garcia. 

Here we are in July and Garicia remains off the air and his bio remains on the KCBS website.  Word is that they two sides are still working on a separation agreement and that Garica is not going quietly. 

But, while all that happens off air, it appears that KCBS has finally figured on a replacement for if/when they ever officially announce that Garcia is gone from the station. 

Sources tell FTVLive that Jeff Vaughn (pictured) is moving into Garcia's spot next to Pat Harvey on the anchor desk. 

Vaughn joined the station November 2015. He has primarily served as the main Anchor on sister station's KCAL. 

You could call the move a promotion, but the fact that Garcia is not officially gone, maybe you can't.
