Who Said TV News People Suck?
A couple of days ago, I posted the story about a a golden retriever named Honor.
This awesome 3 legged dog works to help bring a bit of cheer to the Vets at a VA hospital in Oklahoma. I don't know Honor, nor do I know her owner. But when I was told that this dog need some money to help get her a new prosthetic to help her get around, I wanted to help.
I donated a few bucks and then I thought maybe I should post it on FTVLive and see if others wanted to help?
And boy did you!!!
They were trying to raise $2500 to offset Honor's medical expenses and thanks almost exclusively to people working in TV news, they have reached and passed that goal.
Yes gang....TV people did this!
$2,797 dollars were put up by people working in TV news all to help a dog that they never met and never got the chance to pet.
Donald Trump can call you "fake news" and "losers", but let the story be told that the folks that work in TV news came together to make one dog in Oklahoma have a better life.
It brings tears to my eyes that we might not be able to change the world, but we did change the world for a 3 legged dog that brings joy to our vets.
Here is the GoFundMe page that they set up and while enough money was raised, look down the list of the people in TV people that gave money. Each one of them should be commended for helping out and showing that despite what the President says, TV people are good people.
Let's be honest, if it wasn't for the people in TV, it is more than likely that enough money would have not been raised to help out this dog.
There are a couple of Anonymous donations on there as well. I know who some of those people are and I want to thank you guys as well. You might not want your name out there, but each of you did well.
This is a good news story about TV people that stepped up and helped this dog out. This story will likely not be told other than here on FTVLive. The people out there will never hear about the good that you guys did....but DAMN IT YOU DID AWESOME!
This was the tweet that Honor's owner sent out last night:
