CBS has made a decision on who will run WBBM-TV's newsroom. The nod goes to Jeff Harris.

Harris currently runs Scripps' WEWS-TV in Cleveland. He's been there about 4 years. Previously, he was ND at Scripps' KMGH-TV in Denver. And before that, he did a stint at CBS' KPIX-TV in San Francisco.

At WBBM, Harris replaces Jeff Kiernan who left in March to become Senior Director of Local Content (In other words, News Director) for Scripps' WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee.

So let's see: Harris worked for Scripps, left for CBS, came back to Scripps and now is leaving to return to CBS. Kiernan, on the other hand, worked most of his career at CBS and then bolted for Scripps. It's hard to keep up.
