Network Anchors/Reporters Move to The Border

Network Anchors have moved their desk down to the border as they cover the heartbreaking stories of kids being ripped from their parents arms as they try and cross the border into the United States.

This is a story that you expect to see happening in some third world country overseas. But, the story is happening right here in our country and while the media is focused on it for now, you wonder how long that will last?

The problem with covering this White House, is there is so many controversies that the media never stays on one of them very long.

While the focus is now on these forced separations of families, the dire needs of Puerto Rico is pushed aside.

Remember when after the Vegas shooting, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said now was not the time to talk about gun violence and what should be done. "This is a time to focus on the victims," she said, adding, "We can talk about gun issues later."

The school shooting happened in Florida and we got the same answers.

But, here's the kicker, we never did talk about what should be done with gun problem that is plaguing our country, because the media has so many more controversies to cover.

We are betting that a month from now, these poor kids will still be taken from their families at the border and put in cages and you will barely hear about it.

The media gets hot on a story, but then cools off so fast it is head spinning.

The stories that need to be told are not. The media does not hold the administration accountable because they just hop from controversy to controversy.

Think of those scared kids being pulled from their mother's arms. Think of the people in  Puerto Rico, still without running water or even a place to live. Think of those kids in Florida that are not enjoying their Summer because they were gunned down in the Spring. Think of those people in Las Vegas still trying to recover from a shooting that injured 500+ people and ask yourself if you in the media are doing a good job?

Are you following the story to a conclusion, or are you dropping that story to move onto the next hot controversy?

Despite what the President says, you are not the "Fake Media", but you are the "short attention span media" and it is time to stay focused.

Get back on these stories and hold whoever needs to be held accountable. Do your job and stay with the story until you get the answers and until someone steps up and helps.

You in the media, local or national, now is the time you start doing your job better than ever before.

This country needs your more than ever before.
