Dallas Reporter Wins National Award for Her Story
KXAS Reporter Kristin Dickerson has landed a Gracie Award for her heartwarming piece on two women.
The Gracie Awards are presented by the Alliance for Women in Media, a foundation honoring outstanding programming by, for and about women.
Her story was about a mother of 5, paralyzed in a car accident and the nurse that not only treated her, but did so much more.
Dickerson acted as the reporter, photographer, editor, and anchor (welcome to TV news in 2018).
“I am excited I was given the opportunity to share this inspiring story of friendship and the impact one person can have when staying true to the value of taking care of one another, no matter what people look like, what they believe in, where they live or how much money they make,” said Dickerson.
Dickerson will be presented the award on June 27 in New York City.
