WLS Reporter Terrell Brown dreamed of becoming a Journalists and he was more than excited when he found out he was accepted to go Syracuse University to study broadcast journalism.

After touring the campus and setting up his class schedule - even finding his dorm - Brown said he then received a letter, a letter that came close to killing his dream of working in TV news. 

Brown was the commencement speaker at a Chicago area school's graduation ceremony and he told the story of how his dream was almost derailed:
