LIKE WE SAID!!!
Long, long before anyone else, FTVLive reported FIRST and EXCLUSIVELY that Fox Television was going to buy between 6 and 10 stations from Sinclair as part of the deal to get Sinclair government approval for the Tribune deal.
FTVLive was so far out in front of this story when we broke the news last year that many doubted us.
Of course, as any longtime reader of FTVLive knows, doubting us is most often the wrong way to go.
On November 30th of 2017, FTVLive wrote, "Fox could pay Sinclair near a billion dollars for the stations and that will give Sinclair some much-needed cash in helping pay down their debt..."
Well guess what?
More than 6 month since FTVLive FIRST BROKE the story, it was announced Today that Fox is indeed buying 7 stations from Sinclair with a price tag just under a billion dollars.
Yes folks, FTVLive is THAT good.
Here is the email that was sent to Tribune staffers and obtained by FTVLive:
The stand out station to watch in this list is WSFL in Miami.
The Fox affiliate in Miami is WSVN and with Fox buying up WSFL, they could mean that WSVN may once again finding itself losing and affiliation.
As for now, we'll sit back and let the others catch up a bit on a story that we were so far out it front of it was ridiculous.
But, then again, that is why everyone reads FTVLive.
