Another Love Letter From Sinclair

Yesterday, FTVLive posted a story about how the FCC was finally looking to start the clock again on the Sinclair/Tribune deal.

In the story, FTVLive included the line, "Guess that FCC Chairman Ajit Pai is waiting on the checks to clear his personal account."

What FTVLive meant by that line was that Pai must be waiting on his paychecks to clear to finally do some work. The clock on the deal has been stopped for a longtime and the FCC seems to just be twiddling their thumbs and not working.

Somehow, Sinclair decided to make this all about them. And the suits had the Sinclair lawyer send another letter to FTVLive.

The lawyer demanded that we retract the line and added that there is no evidence that Sinclair is/has paid off the FCC Chairman.

We took the line out of the story, just in case anyone else was confused like the fine people at Sinclair.

Of course, Sinclair has no reason to pay off the FCC, this is the company that according to Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner made a deal to give Trump favorable coverage during the campaign to help him get elected.

Sinclair denies what the President's own son-in-law said about giving Mr. Trump favorable coverage.

Trump has tweeted positive things about Sinclair and the company even went so far to have their main Anchors at each station read the President's talking points when it comes to the rest of the media.

So, when you have the President on your side, who gives a rip about what the puppet at the FCC is or is not doing?

Anyone that thinks Sinclair would need to slip money to the FCC Chairman is just plain ludicrous.

If anyone thought that FTVLive was implying that Sinclair was paying off Ajit Pai, well let us set the record straight. They are not doing that.

Hope that clears up the confusion.

In the effort of complete transparency, here is the letter from Sinclair's lawyer to FTVLive:
