When you make the decision to become a Journalist, you know there are risks involved.

You can get thrown into a dangerous situation at any time and covering severe weather could become deadly. 

So, when a simple bat got loose in the studio at Sinclair owned KFOX (El Paso), you know the Anchors would hold it together and continue to deliver the viewers the news. 

Then again, you would be wrong. 

Anchor Kezhal Dashti saw the bat in the studio and just told viewers, "I'm out" and left the studio. 

I think back to then Houston Reporter Dan Rather clinging to a light pole while being beaten by the winds of Hurricane Carla and shake my head.
