A Date with the Judge

On April 25th, FTVLive told you EXCLUSIVELY that WTTG News Director Paul Mcgonagle has a June date with a North Carolina judge after being arrested for DWI.

The arrest happened around Thanksgiving of last year in Dare County, NC. Station insiders tell FTVLive that Mcgonagle made no mention of his arrest to the staff and some wonder if Fox Television upper management had any knowledge of it either?

Court records show that the Fox O&O News Director was arrested for DWI, an open container in the vehicle.

It also appears that Mcgonagle got a 30 Day Civil Revocation of his DL.

The state of North Carolina is legally allowed to revoke the driver’s license of a person charged with a crime prior to his or her conviction. This most commonly happens in cases when the driver charged with an implied consent offense registers a .08 blood alcohol concentration or above reading on a chemical test. Or, when a driver charged with an implied consent offense refuses to submit to an implied consent offense test.

No word on what the status is of Mcgonagle's driver’s license is, but he appears to be driving to work. So, he must have driving privilages back.

FTVLive spies snapped this picture of his jeep in the station parking lot.

He is scheduled to be back in court in N.C. on June 7th.

Good thing the book will be over.
