You guys know how much I hate on air marriage proposals. It is so self severing and nothing but a waste of viewers' time. 

I always said, if a station is going to let their talent be proposed to on the air, they should also cover it when they get divorced. 

In 2015, WPLG weatherman Trent Aric proposed to morning anchor Jacey Birch. It was a sappy moment that took up time in the newscast. 

Well, now Jacey Birch has filed for divorce in the wake of an ugly incident involving the couple that lead to Aric being arrested. 

In her divorce filing, Birch cites irreconcilable differences and also asked for a restraining order against Aric to be extended. 

WPLG has not covered the story.
