Out The Door in Albany

WNYT (Albany) Anchor/Reporter Dan Bazile is leaving the station, but not the area.

Bazile signed off from the Hubbard station and is crossing the street to Spectrum News Albany, according to Nick Cowdrey, the news director at Spectrum.

Bazile has anchored weekend today for several years and may be best-known for his cooking segments that people often talk about on social media saying, in part, they tune in especially for those spots.

He was thought to be one of the contenders to fill the a.m. coanchor spot alongside Subrina Dhammi when Phil Bayly retired in December. Asa Stackel now anchors with Dhammi.

Bazile joined WNYT in 2004, according to the station's website.

He left for a time to work for Assembly Minority Leader Jim Tedisco until 2009. Bazile then returned to WNYT.
