NY Station Names New News Director
WNBC has filled the News Director gig that was left open when Susan Sullivan was bumped up to NBC News.
WNBC plucked Amy Morris from Philadelphia powerhouse WPVI to become the new ND at NBC's flagship station.
The idea that NBC reached into the ABC O&O food chain to find their next news boss is a very interesting move. It sends a sign to News Directors and Assistant News Directors into Peacock's nest that they aren't quite good enough to lead NBC's biggest station.
Morris starts her new gig in a couple of weeks.
